Sheringham is just 10 minutes away from the well-known bird sanctuaries and marshes at Salthouse and Cley.

15 minutes drive away is Blakeney Point where the spectacular shingle beach is backed by sand dunes which in turn give way to saltmarsh; three rich habitats for bird–watchers and botanists. More than 250 different nesting and migrant birds have been recorded there, including rare migrants in Spring and Autumn.
About 45 minutes further along the coast is Titchwell Marsh, one of RSBC’s most visited reserves in the UK and a good place to see marsh harriers over the reedbeds. They are open throughout the year.
